    Japanese animated and live-action movie director, novelist, screenwriter, game creator. He also teaches as a professor at Tokyo University and Tokyo Keizai University. Oshii has directed a number of popular anime, and his most noted works include Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer, Ghost in the Shell, and The Sky Crawlers.

    Made directorial debut with “Pro Golfer Saru” in 1985 and has directed many Japanese anime TV programs. His works include Super Zukan, Ranma ½, Violinist of Hameln, You’re Under Arrest, Windy Tales, Simoun, True Tears, and Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale.
